Too much commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability? Doesn't exist. However, too little transparency, especially in the food sector. And we want to change that! That is why the organic Veganz Choc Bar Caramel now has these little pictures on top of its packaging, its so-called ecological balance . This is divided into four categories, which shows how sustainable the vegan chocolate bar is. Why are we doing this? Transparency and environmental protection are very important to us: You get all the facts and at the same time we have the chance to get the best out of our products.
As good as caramel and chocolate together
Yes, okay. This combination is unbeatable. But our organic Veganz Choc Bar Caramel can do much more than just taste good. Since it is a purely plant-based product, the delicacy protects all living beings - whether with fur or feathers. In addition, the vegan chocolate bar saves the rainforest from being cleared, as neither soy nor palm oil are used. What else do we like? The low carbon footprint of the ingredients. For these categories that means: three stars - yes!
Less caramel? No. Less chocolate? Oh please don't Unfortunately, it is precisely these who are responsible for the poor result with the water. The Veganz Choc Bar Caramel is vegan and organic - which is very good for the environment - but it has a relatively high water footprint due to the cocoa mass, cocoa butter and almonds it contains. This is because the ingredients need some of the blue gold to grow and the local irrigation system is not yet sufficiently developed.
How will our bars show their best chocolate side in the future? Phew, unfortunately we don't know that yet. For example, we could help directly on site - by providing water treatment systems, among other things - or we could source the ingredients from another region. Regardless of the solution - today's know-how flows into tomorrow's products.
