Purasana's Kombucha Ginger is brewed using an authentic fermentation recipe with green tea, sugar and water. The kombucha is organic, vegan and contains no additives.
This kombucha with spicy ginger flavour is a slightly effervescent fermented drink made from green tea.
Like all kombuchas, the brewing process starts with tea leaves, water and sugar. To the brewed mixture, the manufacturer then adds a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts (SCOBY). To grow good bacterial colonies, the SCOBY (or 'the mother') eats the sugar from the tea. Kombucha is definitely not a source of sugar.
The fermentation process converts the polyphenols in the tea into organic acids, among other things, giving the drink a slightly sour flavour. Another by-product is carbon dioxide, which gives kombucha its distinctive fizzy property.
Infusion of green tea* and ginger* (filtered water + tea), cane sugar* (processed during fermentation), kombucha cultures (bacteria and yeasts).

Pour the kombucha into a glass and let rest for a while. Be sure not to shake the bottle! You can get rid of excess carbonation by rolling the kombucha in your glass for a while. Drink 100-150 ml of kombucha twice a day to reap the benefits. Your body will need some getting used to the fermented particles first.
