Our Organic Blackstrap Molasses is produced in South America and is a natural by-product of traditional sugar cane refining. We only use the most nutritionally important "third extraction” which is the lowest in sugar and has the highest concentration of minerals. 

Blackstrap Molasses has received a lot of media attention recently for its many health benefits and one of the most immediately noticeable benefits of regular consumption is softer, smoother skin and hair. 

Many of the minerals found within it, such as selenium, manganese and zinc are antioxidants which, due to their free radical-scavenging abilities, are well-known for their anti-aging benefits. Just 1 tablespoon of Blackstrap contains 20 percent of our recommended daily allowance of the essential trace mineral copper which performs several important functions in the body including helping to produce melanin, the pigment responsible for hair colour. 

From a health perspective, it has high iron content which is essential for creating red blood cells and is a rich source of both magnesium and calcium which work well together in terms of bone production and energy. 

Molasses is perfect for baking, as a marinade in savoury dishes or simply consumed neat or dissolved in water as an addition to your diet.
