Proteinella enriched with proteins (whey protein isolate) is without added sugar. The sugar content (only 6.6 g per 100 g) comes from the raw materials used in production.
Maltitol, which Proteinella contains, is actually an alcoholic sugar with a caloric value about 70% lower than that of conventional sugar. A significant plus of maltitol is that it has about a half lower glycemic index than sucrose (regular sugar), that is, it does not raise blood sugar levels like regular sugar. Proteinella is therefore suitable for those who want to accept sweets, but also for diabetics. Moreover, it does not cause tooth decay and part of this alcohol sugar is not absorbed into the blood.
It also contains fiber, which slows down the absorption of sugars and thus further slows the increase in blood sugar.
What about fats? They are present in relative amounts, mainly from hazelnuts and cocoa, which contain, in addition to healthy fats, a natural content of antioxidants and vitamins. In addition, it does not contain palm oil.
