What are Sage Leaf Extract Capsules? Sage Leaf Extract Capsules contain Salvia officinalis (the botanical name for sage) has many medicinal properties and is especially useful in the treatment of menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats, as it is believed to help rebalance the sweat-regulating mechanism in the brain which can be thrown out of balance by hormonal changes taking place during the menopause.

Sage can be described as a mild phytoestrogen - a plant oestrogen that has similar effects to the oestrogen in women's bodies.

In addition, Sage has a separaterole in preventing sweating in both men and women generally (e.g. palms and feet).
