KEFIR – the drink of centenarians
Milk kefir, also known as "milk champagne" or "Tibetan mushroom", is a drink that has its roots in Asia, probably Russia.
Kefir is a refreshing, probiotic drink with a thick, creamy consistency and a sour, refreshing, slightly yeasty taste. It is created through the fermentation of milk. This is done using our kefir grains. This is a natural composition of yeasts and bacteria in a symbiotic community. These small microorganisms metabolize components of milk, making it not only more digestible, but also creamy and delicious.
The taste of the drink is reminiscent of Ayran or buttermilk. The naturally occurring carbonic acid ensures a sparkling, moussing taste experience.
By the way, doing it yourself is worth it after just a short time: the kefir culture is constantly increasing.
