Yerba maté – Drink 100% – Waste 0%

Biotona bio Yerba maté Raw is made from the young leaves of Ilex paraguariensis that grows in the sub-tropical rain forests of South America. For many centuries maté has been drunk by the local native population as an invigorating herbal infusion and for this reason is also known as ‘the green gold of the Indians’. The dried leaves are ground to a fine powder. This minimal processing and the biological cultivation produce an excellent powder with a bitter-sweet flavour. It is important to eat a varied and balanced diet and to lead a healthy way of life.
