JUAN GIL JUMILLA ORGANIC MONASTRELL 750ML

"Juan Gil" Monastrell is a wonderful terroir wine that also fully reflects the character and characteristics of the traditional Spanish grape variety Monastrell. The grapes used to make this wine are harvested from old vines with low yields. The vineyards grow on nutrient-poor chalky and rocky soils in Jumilla DO, which has an arid climate with significant temperature fluctuations. In such difficult natural conditions, small berries with an intense aroma and concentrated fruit flavor are born.
Maceration and alcoholic fermentation of the wort takes place in stainless steel containers for 20-25 days at a controlled temperature of 25°C. Subsequent malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels. The wine also matures in French oak barrels for 12 months.
Bodegas Juan Gil is a winery that owns vineyards located in the Castilla and Leon wine region. The history of the company is quite ancient and dates back to 1916, when Juan Gil Jimenez built a small farm. The founder's grandchildren, Juan and Paco, contributed to the development of the family business, which is associated with reliability, efficiency and high quality products.

Today the company is managed by the 4th generation of the Gil family, whose representatives have modernized production facilities and adapted the company to modern market trends.
