Arborio rice are cooked grains are round, creamy and chewy than other rice-due to high content of starch. Arborio rice is a better source of fiber, however, with 2 grams per serving compared with 0.6 grams in long-grain rice. Arborio rice has about the same amount of calories as other types of rice. Easy to digest and good to use in both cases, constipation or diarrhea. Sodium-free-excellent  for those with high blood pressure. High in carbohydrates and proteins-good boost for athletes.

Nutritional Profile- Arborio rice does contain some protein and fat, but almost 90 percent of the calories in the rice comes from its carbohydrate content. A 1/4-cup uncooked serving contains 38 grams of carbs, 4 grams of protein; and 0.5 grams of fat. There are 100 calories per 1/2 cup cooked rice. It has a high content of amylopectin starch. A healthy combination of protein, vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates all mixed in one dish that includes Arborio rice. It does contain a small amount of iron. Good source of Vitamin A and C providing 12% of your daily sip of vitamins.

Health benefits: Fiber-rich food help with hunger control, lowering your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. Also known to be used for digestive complaints, either constipation or diarrhea. The vitamin C helps shield teeth and bones.  Arborio rice also stimulates the production of enzymes and hormones.

Usage: To make risotto, as a side dish to any meal, to make rice pudding, salads and mix it with vegetable and meat.
