Green Origins Organic Cacao Butter is a versatile ingredient with many uses including baking, chocolate making and skin moisturising. It is a tropical tree native to central and South America and typically grown by local cooperatives. It has been pressed into equal size wafers making it convenient to use. It is increasingly being consumed for its nutritional value as well as its taste. The green pods containing the cacao beans are hand-picked. The beans are then broken into small pieces or nibs which are ground into a paste that is pressed to extract the butter.
