LIMA ORGANIC MILLET 500G

Millet is delicious, simply boiled like pilaf rice with vegetables, mixed with quinoa and Basmati rice or in soups or fruit compotes. Take about 50g of millet per person. You can season the millet to your taste with raisins, dried fruit, almonds, rosemary or fresh parsley.

The nutritional function of proteins
The main role of proteins in our diet is the growth, construction and repair of our bodies’ tissues. We single out two food groups from which we can take the necessary proteins: protein foods from vegetable sources and/or animal sources. Vegetable sources: pulses, cereals, nuts & seeds and seaweed. Animal sources: meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. Reducing or eliminating your consumption of meat without any risk of dietary deficiency is entirely possible by replacing it with other high nutrional quality sources of proteins.

Application:

Bring enough water to the boil, add a pinch of sea salt and well-rinsed millet. Let the millet simmer for 25 minutes with the lid on the cooking pot. Take away from the heat source and leave it with the lid on the cooking pot for another 5 minutes. If you use a pressure cooker you can reduce the cooking time.
