IGENNUS VEGAN VITAMIN D3 1000IU

Great for: the brain, central nervous system, immune function, promoting restful sleep, healthy hormones & greater energy

Neurobalance is a nutritionally balanced supplement providing the popular nutrient trio zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6 in especially bioavailable forms - zinc picolinate, fully reacted magnesium citrate and vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate. Formulated by nutrition scientists, Neurobalance delivers just the right daily doses of these synergistic nutrients into the bloodstream and split dosing twice daily ensures all-day nutrient coverage.

Derived from a type of fungi, suitable for vegetarians & vegans.

D3 supports normal immune function, helps maintain bones, teeth and normal muscle function and plays a role in the process of cell division and maintaining normal blood calcium levels .

D3 is the superior form of vitamin D. Until recently, the only vegan-friendly sources offered vitamin D2.

We use tablets rather than oil-based capsules to avoid issues associated with fat malabsorption in those with digestive issues .

1000 IU vitamin D3 supports healthy levels of vitamin D3 in the body (unlike large doses which upset the calcium and vitamin D)

FREE FROM:

Dairy, gluten, lactose, salt, soya, yeast, wheat; suitable for vegans; halal & kosher.

Pure & Essential Vegan Vitamin D3 is a natural plant-based extract from lichen, a type of fungi that provides cholecalciferol – the most biologically active form of vitamin D that is easily absorbed by the body and taken up into the bloodstream.

Vitamin D exists in two forms: ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). Vitamin D3 is the form naturally produced in the body, is the most biologically active form and is better absorbed and utilised by the body. Most vegan vitamin D supplements provide vitamin D as D2 ergocalciferol, but thanks to a new plant-based extract from lichen, vitamin D3 is also available to followers of a vegan diet (most D3 is sourced from lanolin, derived from sheep’s wool).

Around 50% of the UK adult population are estimated to have insufficient levels of vitamin D, with yet lower concentrations found in those following vegetarian and vegan diets. Whilst most vitamin D is produced via skin exposure to the sun, UV rays are not adequate to maintain 'sufficient' status year-round in the UK. Furthermore, most food sources are of animal origin (fish, meat, eggs, dairy), leaving vegans in the UK at a higher risk of deficiency. Supplementation is therefore considered to be the most effective way to optimise consistently healthy blood levels throughout the year.

Offering an easy solution for vegans to maintain optimal vitamin D levels, Pure & Essential Vegan Vitamin D3 supports the healthy balance of calcium in the body, as well as the health of bones, muscles, the immune system and so much more. Small tablets deliver 1000 IU of vitamin D3, suitable for everyday use year-round.

As vitamin D3 is synthesised in the skin via exposure to sunlight, our production capacity is impaired when sun exposure is limited. Supplementation is therefore considered to be the most effective way to optimise consistently healthy blood levels throughout the year.
Vitamin D3 is a hormone-like vitamin that, as well as playing a role in cell division, contributes to normal muscle function and to the normal functioning of the immune system. Vitamin D3 is best known for the role it plays in supporting healthy bones and teeth and this is because vitamin D3 is required to maintain normal blood levels of calcium. As a fat-soluble vitamin, the body can struggle to expel vitamin D3 if taken in high amounts for too long. Any excess vitamin D3 is converted by the liver to a pre-hormone, which can cause high levels of calcium to develop in the blood, a condition called hypercalcaemia. As such, a daily intake of 1000 - 2000IU is considered optimal for ensuring that an ideal vitamin D3 to calcium ratio is maintained, thus preventing potential issues surrounding abnormally high levels of calcium that can result from regular intake of high dose vitamin D3.
Adults and children aged 6+: take 1 tablet daily with food for general wellbeing. If more intensive support is required, daily dose can be increased to 3 tablets daily short term. Do not exceed the recommended doses.

This product should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking any food supplement. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sunlight.
