Organic pumpkin seed oil can be enjoyed raw, by itself or blended with another oil such as wheat germ oil or extra virgin olive oil. The pumpkin, Cucurbita pepo, is a member of the Curcubita family. The fruits are used their natural form for food, or the seeds are used to make oil. The pumpkins are grown organically, meaning that there is no use of fertilisers or chemical-based pesticides; only green fertilisers and crop rotation methods are used.
