Traditional Bougatsa Thessalonikis – Sweet Vegan Pastry

Ingredients

Cream Filling (65%): Water, sugar, wheat semolina, corn starch, cottonseed oil (1.5%), vanilla flavour (0.13%), colouring (β-carotene)
Pastry: Wheat flour, water, cottonseed oil (7%)
Contains less than 2%: salt, emulsifier (glycerol)

Allergen Information:
Produced in a facility that also processes mustard, sesame, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy, celery, and eggs.


Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 190–200°C (375–390°F)
  2. Remove only the paper cover
  3. Place the bougatsa in its paper tray on the lowest oven shelf
  4. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown and crispy

Important Notes
  • Not suitable for microwave cooking
  • For baking multiple trays, use a fan-assisted (hot air) oven
